Temples: A Virtual Tour of Celestial Rooms |
The order of instruction and covenant making that occurs in the temple culminates in the celestial room. According to temple-building procedure, it is customary to place the celestial room in the center of the structure, even as anciently the holy place and the holiest of holies were located in the center of the temple complex. The celestial room represents the Celestial Kingdom and a return to the presence of God. It is a place of exquisite beauty and serenity, where one may feel and meditate "in the beauty of holiness" (The Holy Bible, Ps. 29:2).
